BTCPay Server is making Tor an explicit choice in its standard Docker deployment. Operators who rely on their server’s onion address must explicitly select Tor at their next setup or update.

Tor remains supported and existing Tor data is preserved. Keeping the data does not by itself maintain onion access; the Tor service still needs to be included and running.
