SIREN Trade Review: My Mistake Was Coin Selection 📉
I took this SIREN trade today based on my 15-minute order block. Looking at the chart, the price wicked above my order block, but the candle body did not close above it. The unusually long wick also shows how extreme the volatility was.
My biggest mistake was choosing the wrong coin.
We already know how some scammers operate in the meme-coin market: they create hype, attract traders with sudden price movements, and may dump their holdings or pull liquidity, leaving other traders with heavy losses.
Many meme coins have no real utility, strong fundamentals, or genuine project behind them. Their prices can depend mainly on hype and speculation, making them extremely risky to trade.
I selected SIREN because it was a newly listed coin on Binance and I expected more trading activity. But I focused too much on the opportunity and not enough on the risks.
Lessons learned:
🔹 Technical analysis alone is not enough.
🔹 Coin selection and liquidity matter.
🔹 Extreme wicks can make risk management difficult.
🔹 Avoid blindly chasing newly listed meme coins.
🔹 Focus more on established projects with real utility and stronger fundamentals.
I'm not claiming that this specific move was definitely a rug pull. My takeaway is that I should have considered the risks before entering the trade.
A good setup means little if you choose the wrong asset. Next time, I'll prioritize project quality over hype. 📊
