🛢️ Will September CPI shake oil and Treasuries?
Oil prices are rising amid Middle East tensions, and that could make the next US inflation report even more important. If CPI comes in hotter than expected, rate-cut hopes could take another hit.
Here’s what I’m watching 👀
🛢️ $BZ

Brent crude oil exposure. Higher oil prices can add to inflationary pressure.
📈 $TMF
A leveraged ETF linked to long-term US Treasury bonds. It generally benefits when bond prices rise and yields fall.
📉 $TBT
An inverse leveraged Treasury ETF. It generally benefits when bond prices fall and yields rise.
🔥 What if CPI comes in hot?
Oil could climb further if supply fears persist.
Treasury yields could rise as traders reassess the Fed’s next move.
TBT could gain while TMF comes under pressure.
Personally, I’d rather wait for the CPI numbers than rush into a trade. Markets can move fast when inflation surprises.
What’s your view — hotter CPI and higher oil, or a surprise cooldown? 📊#CPIWatch
