Sberbank added to Russia’s digital currency exchange register
On October 12, the Bank of Russia added Sberbank to its register of organizations authorized to exchange digital currencies. Sberbank had been added to the separate digital depository register on October 6, which covers the recording and transfer of digital assets.
The two registrations are distinct. Inclusion in the exchange register does not, by itself, confirm that customer trading services are already available.
