The UK High Court ruled that Chinese law must determine whether investment fraud victims have rights to more than 61,000 BTC seized by London's Metropolitan Police. The seized bitcoin is valued at around £3.8 billion ($5 billion). Mr Justice Mark Turner said investors must establish ownership rights rather than merely a claim for repayment from the fraudsters. Monday's ruling did not decide who owns the bitcoin. Fieldfisher, the lead firm representing individual claimants, said the firm was pursuing an appeal.
