✨Quantum fears have haunted Bitcoin for years, but Lorenzo Valente from ARK seems less worried these days.

He thinks quantum threats won’t hit all at once they’ll show up gradually, which gives developers time to roll out defenses like BIP-360.

But there’s a twist: about 7.1 million bitcoins roughly 35% of all that exist sit in addresses where the keys are vulnerable. Some of these coins are gone for good, but others could be moved to safer spots if needed. Right now, today’s quantum computers aren’t close to breaking 256-bit ECC, so there’s some breathing room.

Still, keep an eye on BIP-360 and whether wallet providers actually support it.

Now, as for compliance-focused private chains or standard EVM chains who’s better prepared to face quantum risk? That’s a debate worth having.
