Bitcoin News reported that a Ledger hardware wallet bought from an official European reseller several weeks ago contained an unauthorized spy implant. Suspicious internal wiring indicated that the wallet may have been physically tampered with before sale. Funds in the affected device have not been stolen thus far. Ledger's Genuine Check software cannot detect unauthorized physical modifications if the original secure element remains intact.
