Wall Street runs on thousands of interconnected financial processes, and Chainlink is positioning itself to automate them
Look at what DTCC and Chainlink are demonstrating here
A hedge fund borrows money from a pension fund using Microsoft shares as collateral
Chainlink's Runtime Environment (CRE) coordinates the transaction across multiple financial systems, verifies the collateral, and triggers the release of funds
Think about how many other financial transactions work this way
Securities settlement, repo markets, margin management, cross-border payments, tokenized funds
CRE can orchestrate the workflows, CCIP can connect the networks, and the broader Chainlink platform can provide the data and verification needed to execute them
The commercial implications are enormous
Every new institution, network, and financial process integrated into this architecture represents another potential source of demand for Chainlink's services
And once this infrastructure is embedded into core financial operations, replacing it becomes increasingly difficult
DTCC is demonstrating one use case for what could become a common execution layer across global finance
I think we're watching the early stages of Chainlink becoming deeply embedded in the plumbing of the financial system
And I suspect the market is still struggling to price what that could eventually mean for $LINK
