ESMA's Jan. 8 Deadline Targets USDT, the Core Stablecoin on TRON
• ESMA gave MiCA-licensed crypto firms until Jan. 8, 2027 to deal with non-compliant stablecoins
• USDT is named among the tokens that fall short of MiCA; platforms must block new purchases, and holders can only sell, withdraw or transfer
• Not TRON-specific, but most stablecoin supply on TRON is USDT, per DefiLlama
