Tokenized stocks are moving from crypto-native experiments to firms that already issue funds for BlackRock. Per CoinDesk, Securitize has launched Securitize Stocks, starting with 12 major US shares on Solana.

📌 The news

The first list includes Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir. Each token is backed one for one by a real share, and Securitize says holders keep dividend and voting rights.

Trading starts on Securitize's own Solana-based platform, with Jump Trading providing liquidity and settlement in USDC. Eligible investors in the US, Europe and other permitted markets can trade, first in extended hours, with round-the-clock access planned.

• Securitize has issued about $4.5 billion in tokenized assets and went public on the NYSE in June

• It plans to list the tokens on NYSE's planned 24/7 digital platform and on the OKX and ICE venue, if those launch and clear regulators

⚖️ Bull vs bear case

Bull: real shares, real dividends and voting rights fix the biggest complaint about earlier tokenized stocks. Solana gets a steady stream of regulated volume.

Bear: the tokens are security entitlements, not entries on the company's own shareholder register. And most of the planned venues still depend on launches and approvals that have not happened.

💡 My take: Tokenized stocks backed by real shares are a stronger product than synthetic versions. For $SOL, the value is less in fees today and more in becoming the default rail for regulated assets.
