The crypto market came under pressure again on Thursday (10/8/2026). The price of Bitcoin (BTC) briefly fell to US$82,787 before moving back above US$83,000. At 08:00 WIB, BTC was recorded at US$83,400, down 2.57%.

Amid the pressure, Bitcoin dominance (BTC.D) stood at 59.65%, while total crypto market capitalization shrank 2.85% to US$2.81 trillion.

The decline from the US$85,000 area triggered more than US$700 million in liquidations, with long positions accounting for about US$650 million and short positions around US$50 million.

One of the triggers for the selling pressure was the 10-year US Treasury yield breaking through 5.35%, a level described as the highest in 24 years. The yield has risen by as much as 143 basis points from its lowest point before the Iran War. #dyor $BTC
