Bank of America, Citi and Morgan Stanley are syndicating 60 billion dollars in debt to finance Anthropic’s lease of Google-designed AI chips — the largest chip-financing deal on record.
About 42 billion dollars of senior debt is backed by Broadcom, with the banks already selling portions to other lenders. The remaining 18 billion dollars is junior debt without Broadcom’s guarantee.
