Price: ~$86,200, near the top of its current range.
The big picture
BTC bottomed around $57.7K in late June, built a base through August, then broke out above the old May high. It's now about 51% above that low.
Current range (since Sep 18)
$82,500 to $87,200, about 5.5% wide. BTC has tested the top several times while holding higher lows, which looks like an ascending triangle.
Scenarios I'm watching
🟢 Bull: a daily close above $87.2K could open the way to about $91.9K.
⚪ Base: BTC keeps moving sideways between $82.5K and $87.2K while it builds energy.
🔴 Bear: a daily close below $82.5K could mean a move toward $77.8K, and the triangle idea would fail.
My take: Price is coiling under resistance after a big rally. I'm waiting for a daily close outside the range before calling a direction. A quick wick through a level is not a breakout.
