🚨 HYPE HAS A $340M TOKEN UNLOCK TOMORROW — BUT THIS ISN’T A NORMAL UNLOCK STORY.

Hyperliquid is scheduled to unlock 3.75M $HYPE tokens on October 6, worth roughly $340M at current estimates. That’s about 1.69% of its released supply.

Here’s the part that caught my attention:

The entire unlocked batch is reportedly going to ONE institutional buyer through an OTC deal.

So the usual “huge unlock = immediate sell pressure” assumption may not tell the whole story. The buyer, purchase price and holding period haven’t been disclosed.

That leaves me watching three things:

• HYPE’s price action around the unlock
• Volume and liquidity
• Whether the new tokens actually create visible market pressure

The unlock is the headline.
