#SECHaltsCryptoETFReviewsAmidFundingLapse The SEC funding lapse is creating a strange situation for crypto ETFs.

More than 90 filings are reportedly sitting in limbo, with new review activity largely frozen. Existing products such as BlackRock’s IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC are still operating normally.

What stands out to me is the timing.

The SEC has actually been moving forward on crypto regulation, including a new proposal on crypto custody for investment advisers and funds announced on October 1.

So this looks more like an operational pause than a change in direction.

Once the funding issue is resolved, those pending ETF applications could become one of the more interesting catalysts to watch across BTC and the altcoin market.
