Greek police arrested 17 people in an alleged crypto pyramid scheme, including 9 military personnel. Police estimate around $8M was collected, with roughly 10,000 people potentially involved.
The pitch was simple: 100% returns in 50 days.
Members were reportedly rewarded for bringing in new participants. Then the withdrawals stopped.
And this is where the biggest red flag appears.
Even making 20%–50% on a trade can make it harder to walk away. Now imagine someone promising 100% with “almost no risk.”
