Verona’s Journey in Korea

Verona’s journey in Korea helped tell a much more complete story about what the network is building.

Long before the main KBW2026 program began, @verona_dev was already in Seoul. On September 17, through Behind the Scenes of AI: Who Verifies, Who Pays, Who Trains, the conversation started with a fundamental question: as AI moves from simply providing answers to actually taking action, who verifies the information it relies on, who handles the payments, and what infrastructure is needed to make all of it work.

From there, Verona’s presence in Korea continued to grow. Find Verona in Seoul brought the community into that journey, while KBW week opened up more opportunities for Verona to bring its vision to different audiences.

There was The Bridge Summit, followed by No Sus, Just VERONA!, which brought the team, Anthony, ecosystem projects, and the community together in one room. At the Main Conference, Verona joined as a Bronze Sponsor, with its own booth and activities that kept community interaction going beyond the stage and panel discussions.

But one of the biggest chapters of the journey came with verUSD.

Verona has long focused on verified facts and the idea that AI needs information it can actually prove before making decisions. verUSD takes that story one step further. Once an agent knows what is true and begins to act, another layer needs to work alongside it, payment and settlement.

"Verona verifies the fact. verUSD is how the agent pays for it."

And that story continued across different venues.

At GWDC, Anthony joined the panel Building Web3 Products People Actually Use, bringing the conversation closer to product and real utility. At MAGICORE at Lotte World, Verona appeared in a setting much closer to culture and consumer experience. At Proof of AI, the discussion returned directly to Verona’s core vision through the keynote How Verona Makes AI Intelligent and Why AI Agents Need Stablecoins, before moving into a broader conversation around how intelligence can translate into real-world value.

The story of Verona and verUSD also reached Korea Economic Daily, bringing the same conversation to an even broader audience.

From September 17 through the end of the KBW Main Conference on October 1, Verona’s journey in Korea ultimately felt like much more than simply attending a series of events.

It became a way for Verona to take its vision beyond the website, documentation, and timeline, and bring it closer to the builders, partners, community, media, and people who may eventually use the infrastructure itself.
