A crypto trading pair can disappear from an exchange for reasons that have little to do with a single day's price movement.
Binance says it periodically reviews spot trading pairs and may remove pairs based on factors such as liquidity and trading volume, among other market-quality considerations.
What does the review look at?
🔹 Liquidity — Is there enough market activity?
🔹 Trading volume — Is the pair being used regularly?
🔹 Market quality — Does the market continue to meet the exchange's standards?
🔹 Project-related factors — Exchanges can also consider developments and other relevant circumstances.
💡 The important lesson
A pair removal is not automatically the same thing as a token disappearing. An exchange may remove a particular trading pair while the underlying asset can still exist elsewhere or have other available markets.
This is why understanding exchange announcements is more useful than reacting to headlines alone.
Crypto markets change constantly — understanding the infrastructure behind them matters. 🔐
