Binance

Yes. I checked the latest Binance updates and Binance market data. There are several important changes around Binance right now.

What is new on Binance? — October 1, 2026

1. New CTUSDT Futures contract

Binance Futures launched the CTUSDT USDⓈ-Margined perpetual contract today, October 1. This adds another Futures market for traders who use leverage.

Important: Futures can amplify both profits and losses, so this is very different from simply buying and holding a coin.

2. Binance is expanding tokenized stock trading

Binance recently added seven new bStocks pairs:

  • Adobe — $ADBEB

  • Forward Industries — $FWDIB

  • Hewlett Packard — HPEB

  • PDD Holdings — PDDB

  • SharonAI — SHAZB

  • Wendy's — WENB

  • Zoom — ZMB

Trading started September 30. Binance also enabled Spot Algo Trading Bots and Rebalancing Bots for these assets.

This is significant because Binance is expanding beyond traditional cryptocurrency trading into tokenized securities and stock-related products.

3. Binance Funding Account is changing

Binance has started moving crypto balances from the Funding Account to the Spot Account.

The Funding Account will eventually be renamed Stocks Account, which will be focused on stock and stock-option settlement. Binance says the migration will run in stages through January 2027.

If you keep crypto in your Funding Account, it is worth checking the new account structure in your Binance app.

4. Hyperliquid HYPE was recently listed

Binance announced the listing of Hyperliquid (HYPE) with a Seed Tag on September 24.

Seed Tag assets can experience substantially higher volatility, so I would treat HYPE differently from established assets such as $BTC or ETH.

5. Binance Alpha is active

Binance Alpha recently launched a Doppler Finance (XDP) trading competition with a $200,000 reward pool running from September 29 to October 6.

Binance is also running other trading competitions and promotional campaigns around October.

Which coin performed best?

There is an important date point:

Today is October 1, so October has only just started. There isn't enough October data yet to identify a meaningful monthly winner.

If you mean the full month of September 2026, I checked Binance's daily Spot data for several major coins.

CoinSeptember performance

LINK +26.21%

SOL +14.28%

DOGE +14.13%

BNB +11.21%

ETH +9.10%

XRP +8.02%

BTC +6.66%

Chainlink (LINK) went from approximately $11.325 on September 1 to $14.293 on September 30, giving a monthly gain of about 26.21% based on Binance Spot daily closes.

That is stronger than BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP and DOGE over the same September period.

However, strongest past performance does not automatically mean the best coin to buy now. A coin that has already risen 26% can also experience profit-taking and a pullback.

What is happening in the market now?

Binance's current market overview shows approximately:

  • Total crypto market cap: $2.87T

  • 24h crypto volume: $103.7B

  • Fear & Greed: 67 — Greed

  • Market cap is currently slightly higher while trading volume has increased.

Binance's current hot-coin data also shows strong short-term activity in coins such as JASMY, DUSK and STX, but these are short-term activity measurements rather than proof of monthly performance.

My data-based way to look at it

For September:
LINK showed the strongest performance among the major coins I checked.

For October:
It is too early to declare a monthly winner.

For lower-volatility exposure:
BTC and ETH have much larger markets and liquidity than many smaller altcoins.

For higher potential volatility:
Smaller altcoins and newly listed/Seed Tag assets can move much faster in either direction.

For Futures:
Do not select a coin simply because it has the highest percentage gain. Leverage can turn a relatively small price movement into a large account loss.
