🚨 INDIA–US TENSIONS DEEPEN 🇮🇳🇺🇸

After months of friction, India is becoming increasingly vocal about its concerns with Washington.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said India’s concerns over cross-border terrorism are not being sufficiently understood, particularly amid closer US engagement with Pakistan. He also pointed to trade tensions and differences over tariffs.

India has also criticized what Jaishankar described as overly self-centered approaches to trade and global economic issues, arguing that the impact on developing and Global South economies needs greater consideration.

At the same time, New Delhi and Washington are still negotiating an interim trade agreement, while both sides continue to describe the broader strategic partnership as important.

The relationship is facing serious friction — but negotiations and strategic cooperation are still continuing.
