And honestly, the interesting part isn’t the name.
Ethereum is being designed so that computers can do more work off-chain, generate cryptographic proofs, and let the network verify the result without everyone having to repeat the entire computation.
That could mean more scale, better privacy and a much lighter burden for people running the network.
And Vitalik says Hegotá, planned for 2027, could be Ethereum’s last “normal” fork.
So the bigger $ETH question might not be:
“When will $ETH pump?”
It might be:
“What does $ETH become if Ethereum stops being just a blockchain?”
