what’s tokenization all about?

Proper simple, really. Tokenization is taking an asset—or t' rights to it—and converting it into a digital token ye can easily move around and keep tabs on over on t' blockchain

Look at Bitcoin , for instance

BTC already exists on its own chain, like, but ye can create tokenized versions of it on other networks to get it working with smart contracts and all them DeFi apps

It’s t' same story for traditional stuff as well.
Stocks, bonds, ETFs, property, and commodities like gold can all be turned into tokens that prove ye own a fair share of 'em

Once ye’ve tokenized an asset, it makes it dead easy to:

$ETH

Transfer → Pass it on

Trade → Buy and sell it

Split → Slice it into smaller bits

Lend → Lend it out to folks

Use as collateral → Put it up as security for a deal

And that’s all made possible thanks to blockchain tech and smart contracts

Now, don’t go thinking t' physical asset magically jumps onto t' blockchain, mind!
T' blockchain only holds t' digital representation and proves yer legal rights, while t' real physical asset stays safe and sound with a custodian or proper legal setup

That’s t' reason tokenization’s becoming such a massive talking point in t' RWA chat

When all’s said and done, it’s just a grand way of bringing traditional assets into t' same programmable financial environment crypto uses
