BINANCE FUNDING ACCOUNTS ARE CHANGING TODAY. HERE’S WHAT USERS NEED TO KNOW.

This isn’t a price story.

It’s an account-structure story.

Starting today, Binance is beginning the migration of crypto assets from Funding Accounts → Spot Accounts.

Important dates

September 29, 2026

Funding Accounts stop supporting on-chain crypto deposits.

January 2027

Funding Accounts are scheduled to become Stocks Accounts, used for stock and stock-options settlement.

Binance says crypto balances will be migrated to Spot Accounts and aggregate asset balances will not be affected.

Other changes starting today:

* Alpha 2.0 limit-order stablecoins move through Alpha Accounts
* Binance Card/Gift Card receipts → Spot
* Binance Pay receipts → Spot
* New recurring orders → Spot or Earn
* Some P2P users → Spot as default funding source
* API users should update Funding Account references to Spot

Wealth Engine checklist:

UPDATE APP → REVIEW FUNDING BALANCE → MIGRATE → CHECK RECURRING ORDERS → CHECK API/P2P SETTINGS

The important distinction:

Your account architecture is changing; Binance says aggregate asset balances are not.

Do account migrations make crypto platforms simpler — or create another layer of operational friction?
