Over the last 24 hours, BTC recorded around $65.4M in liquidations â with approximately $39.0M coming from longs versus $26.4M from shorts.
The bigger clue is the shorter timeframe.
In the last 12 hours, around $14.35M was liquidated, and nearly $13M came from longs.
That means roughly 90% of the 12H liquidations were on the long side.
Meanwhile, Binance BTC funding is still positive at around +0.0058% â positive, but not extreme.
The liquidation heatmap also shows a notable liquidity cluster around $82K, with additional levels around $80.7K and $79.4K below.
So the question I'm watching isn't simply:
âIs BTC bullish or bearish?â
The more interesting question is:
Was this a leverage flush, or is the market still building fresh positions after it?
That answer depends heavily on what happens next with Open Interest + spot demand.
