$XRP Just Woke Up. $ZEC Never Went Back to Sleep One of them is just getting started. $XRP closed its strongest stretch in months. After spending the summer stuck between $0.90 and $1.10, XRP surged more than 56% in a single week on short liquidations, renewed ETF inflows, and Bitcoin's break above $77,000. It's now trading near $1.54, with ACI Worldwide, which processes roughly 9% of SWIFT's global payment volume, adding XRP as a settlement option this week. Ripple still unlocks up to 400 million XRP into circulation every month through its escrow schedule, and Ripple's own CEO recently suggested stablecoins sometimes work better for payments than XRP does. XRP remains roughly 57% below its 2025 cycle high. $ZEC tells a completely different story. Zcash has surged roughly 2,500% since January, climbing from the 82nd-largest cryptocurrency into the top 10, and touched $1,693 this week, its highest price since 2016. The move followed a Grayscale Zcash ETF launch in August, a European exchange-traded product, and a venture firm disclosing a ZEC position this month, calling it "a private complement to Bitcoin." Privacy coins now total $33.6 billion as a category, and Zcash accounts for more than 60% of it. Both rallies share a root cause: institutional wrappers unlocking demand for assets built years before this cycle began. The gap in scale is the real story. One is a payments network with a Fortune 500 endorsement still climbing out of a deep hole. The other tripled in a month on a use case, financial privacy, most of the market had written off completely. #Altcoin Season# #BTC Price Analysis# #Macro Insights#
