$USDC Circulating Supply Rises by About $1.5 Billion in One Week
The circulating supply of USD Coin (USDC) increased by approximately 1.5 billion tokens in the week ending September 24, 2026, reaching around 75.2 billion USDC. According to Circle’s latest transparency data, 11.4 billion USDC were issued while 9.9 billion were redeemed during the seven-day period.
Circle also reported approximately $75.5 billion in total reserves, slightly above the amount of USDC in circulation. The company says USDC is redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars and that its reserves consist of highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets.
What it means
The rise in supply indicates that more USDC entered circulation than was redeemed during the week. A growing stablecoin supply can provide additional dollar-denominated liquidity for crypto trading, payments and decentralized-finance activity, although supply growth alone does not establish how that liquidity will ultimately be used.
The development also comes shortly after Binance announced a $100 million investment in Circle, deepening its relationship with the issuer of USDC.
Key figures:
USDC in circulation: ~$75.2 billion
Weekly increase: ~$1.5 billion
Issued: ~$11.4 billion
Redeemed: ~$9.9 billion
Total reserves: ~$75.5 billion
