I’ve worked as an MM and provided liquidity for multiple projects. Our job wasn’t to sit around guessing whether $BTC would be at $96K or $120K a month from now.
We analyzed data, liquidity, market behavior, and provided reports to our partners. But when it came to actually taking action, every decision had to be based on the market’s real-time reaction.
How is price reacting?
How is volume changing?
Where is the liquidity sitting?
Are buyers or sellers in control?
Is the market structure still intact, or has it changed?
All of these factors need to be observed before making a decision to buy or sell.
So if I say right now:
“$BTC will definitely go to $120K.”
or
“$BTC will definitely drop to $96K and then bounce.”
Then honestly, that’s just guessing.
You can build scenarios, identify key price levels, and analyze the trend. But the further you try to predict into the future, the less certain your analysis becomes.
A good trader doesn’t necessarily need to know where $BTC will be several months from now.
They need to understand what the market is doing right now, how it is reacting, and when their thesis is no longer valid.
Especially when trading against the trend, things become much harder. You’re betting on a reversal before there is enough confirmation that the market is actually turning.
That’s exactly why people often say:
“Trend is your friend.”
Don’t try to predict the future with absolute certainty.
Read the market’s reaction and follow what the market is actually showing you.
