Bitget Breach: Stay Calm, Verify the Facts The Bitget breach news has caused some panic, but let’s focus on the facts. According to Gracy Chen’s initial report, Bitget detected unauthorized transfers from some hot wallets on September 24 and immediately activated its emergency response. The affected amount was estimated at ~$351.6M. Bitget says its cold wallets remain secure, while its User Protection Fund holds over $464M, above the reported affected amount. Its latest Proof of Reserves also shows a 135% total reserve ratio across 19 assets. I’ve used Bitget for quite some time across different products, and for me, the important thing right now is transparency and verifiable data. My funds are safe and aren't panicking. $BTC , $ETH , and BGB can react strongly to fear-driven headlines, so separate official disclosures and on-chain data from rumors.
