🔍 MACHINE-TO-MACHINE TRUST NEEDS MORE THAN CONNECTIVITY
Connecting two AI agents allows them to exchange information. It does not automatically establish whether either should rely on the other.
As agents interact with permissionless Web3 infrastructure, trust becomes a practical coordination problem.
▪️ Can an agent verify the authority behind a request?
▪️ Can the parties assess whether a service was delivered?
▪️ What happens when an outcome is disputed?
These questions connect technical verification with governance. Systems need ways to evaluate claims, while participants need procedures for handling uncertainty and disagreement.
My view: a useful trust framework should make the basis for reliance visible. Participants should understand what has been verified, what remains uncertain, and how disputes can be addressed.
That is one angle worth exploring in SUN.io and B.AI’s upcoming discussion on the next digital economy.
Better models can expand what agents do. Clear rules can help people decide when to rely on those actions.
