The pre-buy check is standard practice at this point.
Top 10 holders. LP status. Mint authority. Socials. Most people do it.
Take one of this month's bigger memecoin launches. Bubblemaps ran the wallets afterwards:
• 12,151 of 15,206 launch-day wallets in loss, ~80%
• Most losses under $1,000
• 100 wallets down more than $10,000
• At least 2 down between $100K and $1M
Most of those people had run the check. They still lost.
On the other side of those trades: the largest positions sat in freshly funded wallets with little or no prior on-chain activity, buying in the same block or seconds after launch.
Here's the part that matters. On a holder list, that looks fine.
But what actually flags a bundle lives in two columns a holder list doesn't have: where the wallets were funded from, and which block they bought in.
That second-order check used to mean loading a full bubble map, one token at a time. On Sep 15, @Bubblemaps.io shipped a revamp that runs it before the token reaches you.
WHAT CHANGED
The new home screen is a feed: trending and fresh tokens across all supported chains, with Arc added on day one.
Tokens with extreme insider clusters and launch bundles don't make it in. Two definitions:
• Bundle: wallets buying in the same block or seconds after launch. Snipers, or a team pre-loading supply.
• Cluster: wallets linked by shared funding sources or transfer patterns. One holder dressed up as many.
These are the same patterns Bubblemaps has been pulling out of post-mortems for years. What changed is when the scan runs.
THE WORKFLOW: FIND → VET → BUY
1. Find
Customizable filters on the feed: chain, launchpad, price, volume, liquidity, and more.
2. Vet
• Hover any token for an instant bubble map scan. No new tab, no pasting a contract address.
• Bubblemaps Score on every token, flagging insider clusters and bundled wallets at a glance.
• Click any candle to see holder distribution at that exact moment.
• Wallet labels reviewed by professional on-chain sleuths.
• Project socials verified and reviewed.
3. Buy
Built-in swap at 0.5%, which Bubblemaps says is the lowest fee on the market. Projects can also boost their token in-app.
The candle click is the one I'd point data people to. A holder list is a snapshot of now. This is the holder list at the moment the pump started, which is when a bundle is easiest to see.
THE READ
The standard check didn't stop working. The other side adapted to it. The deeper check, funding sources and block timing, now costs a hover instead of a tab.
Two caveats worth keeping:
• A score is a summary, not a verdict. When the size matters, open the full map.
• A clean map describes supply distribution. It says nothing about where price goes.
Spreading supply is cheap. Hiding where it was funded from isn't.
