A Bitcoin wallet does not actually store your BTC. It stores the keys that prove ownership and authorize transactions.

That makes your seed phrase the most sensitive piece of wallet information. Anyone who obtains it may be able to control the funds, while losing it can mean losing access permanently.

Keep the phrase offline, never share it, and be cautious of anyone asking you to enter it on a website or send it in a message.
