On $SOL a .sol name works the same way, because resolving one is a public lookup anyone can run in either direction.
So handing someone your name to get paid also hands them your balance, your counterparties and every position you have taken since.
That matters more now that names are turning up in social apps, tipping and invoicing, because the people you transact with are not all people you would show a bank statement to.
Hydex is building a confidentiality layer for Solana domains, routing and identity on Arcium, and the approach underneath is what makes it more than a setting.
A lookup runs as a computation split into fragments across a cluster of nodes, no single node holds the mapping in readable form, and the payment still routes to the right place.
Whatever gets sent still settles on Solana as an ordinary public transaction, so an explorer shows the transfer and the recipient can prove it arrived, while the amount inside it stays readable until C-SPL ships, which has not happened yet.
Arcium's compute layer has been live on Mainnet Alpha since February 2 with more than 2.5 million computations run so far, and Hydex is one of fifteen teams on its ecosystem page.
Names made crypto usable and made everyone easier to follow, and the projects I am watching now are the ones keeping the first half without the second.
