$XRP 🚀 could be getting a major payments upgrade — and asset managers are already preparing around it.
Ripple says Batch V1.1 is nearing activation on the XRP Ledger, with support from 30 of 35 tracked validators. If that support stays above the required 80% through the countdown, the upgrade is projected to activate around September 29.
The key feature is atomic execution: up to eight linked transactions can be bundled so they either all succeed or all fail.
That could be particularly useful for institutional payments and delivery-versus-payment, where an asset and its payment need to settle simultaneously. Exchanges, wallets and marketplaces could also bundle platform fees directly into customer transactions.
What makes this more interesting is RippleX saying commercial projects and key asset managers are already preparing to use Batch.
The upgrade also comes after the original V1.0 was withdrawn when researchers found a signature-validation vulnerability before activation. V1.1 was redesigned and subjected to additional security reviews before returning to the validator vote.
If Batch V1.1 activates successfully, the bigger story isn't just faster payments it's whether the XRPL becomes easier to use for real-world institutional asset settlement. #Altcoin Season# #Macro Insights# #XRP
