Canada is getting its first Tesla Megawatt Charging System sites 🇨🇦

R.R. Plett is set to begin construction next month on two 1.2 MW Tesla MCS sites in Langley and Kamloops, ahead of 12 Tesla Semis expected to arrive in June 2027

The difference is massive

Their current electric trucks can take around 3 hours to charge

Tesla’s MCS cuts that to roughly 30 minutes, making double-shift operation possible instead of leaving trucks charging for hours

And this is bigger than just two sites

R.R. Plett ultimately wants to build an electric trucking corridor from Vancouver to Calgary, with additional megawatt charging locations being considered in Golden and Calgary
