Stablecoins are no longer just about moving money.

On September 18, ChinaAMC (Hong Kong), Standard Chartered and OSL completed an investment use case using the regulated HKD stablecoin HKDAP to subscribe for and redeem units in a digital money market fund.

That’s the part I’m watching closely. 🔥

HKDAP is now being tested inside an actual investment workflow:

🏦 OSL handled trading and settlement
🔐 Standard Chartered provided custody and tokenisation services
💰 HKDAP was used for fund subscriptions and redemptions
📜 The entire process operated within Hong Kong’s regulated framework

This could be an important step toward stablecoins becoming part of the financial infrastructure itself — not just payments, but settlement, investment and tokenized assets.

Hong Kong is clearly pushing an institution-focused approach to digital finance. 👀

The bigger question: Could regulated HKD stablecoins become a serious part of Asia’s tokenized financial markets? 🚀
