Tesla AI5 has entered trial production at Samsung’s Taylor, Texas fab 🇺🇸
Samsung has reportedly started producing AI5 wafers on its 2nm line, with yield and mass-production verification now underway ahead of volume production in 2027
AI5 is Tesla’s next-generation inference chip built for:
• Optimus
• Tesla’s AI data centers
• Future Tesla vehicles
• Next-generation autonomous driving
Elon has said AI5 will initially go into Optimus and the data center before expanding into vehicles.
AI5 is now moving from design → actual 2nm silicon in Texas
