$528M in Crypto Positions Liquidated as Shorts Get Squeezed.
Crypto markets have seen approximately $528 million in leveraged positions liquidated over the past 24 hours, with 107,681 traders reportedly forced out of their positions.
Shorts accounted for the vast majority, with around $467 million in short positions liquidated, according to CoinGlass. The imbalance shows that the recent upside move caught a large number of bearish positions on the wrong side of the market.
The largest single liquidation was an $8.53 million position on Hyperliquid, highlighting how quickly leveraged traders can be wiped out during sharp moves. CoinGlass tracks both long and short liquidation activity across major crypto derivatives markets.
The liquidation wave could add further volatility as traders reassess leverage and positioning, particularly with Bitcoin pushing higher.
