An Ethereum Foundation-linked address transferred approximately $2.45 million worth of ETH to an unlabelled Gnosis Safe multisig wallet on September 18, according to Arkham data. However, it remains unclear whether the destination wallet is controlled by the Foundation.
The transfer has raised questions over whether the ETH was simply moved to another Foundation-controlled wallet or could eventually be used for an OTC sale. At this stage, there is no confirmed evidence that the Foundation has sold the tokens.
Despite the transfer, the linked Foundation address reportedly still holds around $235.46 million in ETH and $23 million in USDC, meaning the latest movement represents only a small portion of its on-chain holdings.
