Crypto markets are showing renewed strength heading into the weekend.

Bitcoin reclaimed the $80,000 level on Friday, climbing more than 5% as the broader market recovered from recent volatility. Solana and Hyperliquid were among the strongest major assets, both gaining roughly 10% during the move.

The rally comes despite a setback for U.S. crypto regulation. The CLARITY Act failed to advance in the Senate, falling short of the 60 votes required to move forward. However, regulatory activity has continued through agencies such as the SEC and CFTC, helping keep the broader policy conversation active.

Meanwhile, Hyperliquid delivered its own major catalyst. The protocol launched manual borrowing, allowing users to supply HYPE or BTC as collateral and borrow stablecoins such as USDC and USDT. The rollout coincided with HYPE reaching a new all-time high above $90, while more than $269 million in assets had been borrowed through the underlying infrastructure.

With Bitcoin reclaiming a key psychological level and altcoins outperforming, the market is once again showing how quickly sentiment can shift when liquidity, product developments and regulatory expectations converge.
