The crypto market is showing renewed strength, with Bitcoin reaching the $81,000 area during the latest move. Reports tracking Binance’s BTC/USDT market recorded Bitcoin briefly around $81,050. Because crypto trades continuously, I’m treating this as a market price observation rather than an “official” announcement.

The bigger backdrop is still the Federal Reserve. On September 16, the FOMC voted 12–0 to raise the federal-funds target range by 25 basis points to 3.75%–4.00%. The Fed said inflation remains elevated while economic activity is expanding at a solid pace.

That makes BTC's move particularly interesting: the market is pushing higher even after a fresh rate increase.

Binance activity is also expanding

Binance's official announcements today include the launch of multiple new USDⓈ-margined perpetual contracts, including PATHUSDT, AMCUSDT, CYPHUSDT, ANETUSDT and HUTUSDT.

Binance also confirmed completion of its USDT contract swap on Optimism, with the related services reopened following completion.

Meanwhile, Binance announced support for the upcoming STG token merge to LayerZero's ZRO, with the relevant STG spot trading pairs scheduled for removal on October 6.

Ethereum remains in development

Ethereum's Glamsterdam upgrade is progressing through testing. The next major testing milestone is scheduled for October 6 on Sepolia, while the mainnet timing remains targeted for Q4 rather than having a finalized date.

My market view

For me, the important question isn't simply whether BTC touched $81K.

I'm watching whether Bitcoin can hold the higher range while strength spreads across major altcoins. A breakout is one thing; maintaining that strength is another.

Right now, my watchlist is:

🟠 BTC — $81K area

🔵 ETH — Glamsterdam development

🟢 BNB — Binance ecosystem activity

ZEC — continued momentum
