okay SEC actually did something useful for once — they just rolled out a long-awaited "innovation exemption" that gives blockchain-based platforms a full 5-year exemption from registering as a traditional exchange just to list tokenized securities. this has been talked about for literally years and it finally shipped. basically removes one of the biggest legal walls that's been keeping real-world assets off-chain at scale. slow moving agency, big move.
