A Small Binance Update That Traders Should Know
Binance announced changes to the tick size for several USDⓈ-M perpetual futures contracts today.
So what is tick size?
Simply put, tick size is the smallest price increment by which an order price can change.
For example, if a contract's tick size changes from 0.01 to 0.001, prices can be quoted in smaller increments.
Binance said the update is intended to improve market liquidity and trading experience, and the change does not affect existing orders.
This is a good reminder for beginners:
Not every important crypto update is about a price pump or dump.
Some updates are simply about how an exchange's market infrastructure works.
Had you heard of "tick size" before today?
