I kept watching Bitcoin around $76K because the price action is telling a more interesting story than the usual Fed headline.

On September 11 BTC dropped to $76,046 and then recovered more than 5% in roughly 90 minutes.

That move tells me one thing.

There is still serious liquidity sitting around these levels.

After that sharp reversal BTC spent the weekend trapped around $76.5K to $77.5K. Sellers are still active but buyers have not allowed the market to completely lose the $76K area either.

This is where the current setup becomes interesting.

September monthly CVD is heavily seller dominated. Aggressive market selling is clearly visible.

Normally I would treat that as a warning.

But there is another possibility.

If aggressive sellers keep hitting the market while BTC continues holding around $76K then passive buyers could be absorbing that pressure.

That would mean the selling looks stronger on the surface than it actually is.

We have seen something similar before.

Earlier in the year Bitcoin faced very bearish derivatives sentiment. Instead of continuing lower the market eventually used crowded short positioning as fuel for the rally toward $82.85K.

I would not assume the same thing happens again.

This time the missing piece is spot demand.

Bearish positioning alone cannot create a sustainable move higher. Bitcoin needs real buyers willing to absorb supply rather than another leverage driven bounce.

The macro setup also makes this week important.

The Fed and Bank of Japan decisions could push yields and liquidity in either direction. If yields rise sharply and the yen strengthens then risk assets could face another wave of pressure.

So for me $76K is still the level that matters most.

If BTC keeps defending it while seller pressure remains heavy then another reversal becomes possible.

But if $76K finally breaks with strong spot selling then I would stop treating the current weakness as just another liquidity sweep.

Right now Bitcoin is not proving strength.

It is proving that buyers are still willing to defend the same floor.

That is the real test.
