🚨 CLARITY ACT: THE BIG CRYPTO TEST IS TOMORROW

The U.S. Senate is back — and the CLARITY Act is now facing a crucial procedural vote on September 15.

Senate Republicans released what they called their final draft today, after adding changes aimed at winning more bipartisan support. The latest version includes new ethics restrictions and updated rules around DeFi, CFTC oversight and digital-asset markets.

The key number is 60 votes.

This is not the final passage vote. It is a cloture/procedural vote that could determine whether the legislation moves forward.

Why does this matter for crypto?

If the bill advances, the U.S. could move closer to a clearer federal framework for digital assets, including a larger role for the CFTC in covered spot digital-commodity markets. That could reduce some of the regulatory uncertainty surrounding the industry.

But the outcome is still uncertain. Democrats have raised concerns around ethics, stablecoin rewards and other provisions, meaning bipartisan support remains the biggest hurdle.

For Bitcoin and the wider crypto market, tomorrow could become a major volatility event.

Will the Senate finally push crypto regulation forward, or will the CLARITY Act face another political roadblock?
