$TRUMP
🇰🇵🇺🇸🇰🇷 Trump tried dialing down the military pressure on North Korea, but the region isn’t exactly getting quieter.

Last month, he cut short a major U.S.-South Korea exercise, partly to stop sending such a hostile signal to Kim Jong Un.

But that didn’t mean the drills stopped altogether.

The U.S., South Korea and Japan had just finished a 5-day military exercise on Friday.

Then on Saturday, North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles and put 5 army units through a big live-fire drill.

Attack drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and large rocket launchers were all involved.

Basically, different ways of hitting an enemy from different distances.

And Pyongyang wasn’t subtle about what it was practicing for.

State media said troops should be ready to “completely collapse the enemy” whenever the order comes.

Trump actually toned down U.S. military practice to lower the temperature. Kim doesn’t seem ready to meet him halfway yet.
