HOW TO READ A FED DECISION

A common mistake is to treat a Fed meeting as:

HIKE = BEARISH
CUT = BULLISH

Real markets are more complicated.

1️⃣ DON’T TRADE THE HEADLINE

The rate decision matters.

But so do:

* The policy statement
* Economic projections
* The chair’s press conference
* Guidance about future meetings

2️⃣ WATCH THE PATH

One 25-basis-point hike does not automatically mean a new tightening cycle.

The bigger question is:

What does the Fed signal comes next?

3️⃣ WATCH THE MARKET

Follow:

Fed → Treasury yields → Dollar → Liquidity → Risk appetite → Crypto

The market can even rise after a rate hike if the decision was already fully priced and the forward guidance is less hawkish than expected.

Before reacting, ask:

1. What changed?
2. What was already priced in?
3. What did the Fed signal next?

That’s a much better framework than simply calling the decision “bullish” or “bearish.”
