Three recent collaborations involving Verona became more coherent to me once I stopped treating them as independent efforts.
De1 focuses on financial agents designed to interpret market information and make decisions.
Atbash addresses a different constraint: ensuring that such agents remain within applicable rules and checks before taking actions that cannot be easily reversed.
Pulsar brings these capabilities closer to end users by framing them as an AI companion and by incorporating incentives and agent-mediated payments.
Verona appears to function as an intermediary layer across these three efforts. The underlying premise is that an AI system tasked with moving money or making decisions on a user’s behalf cannot be evaluated only in terms of raw capability. It also needs reliable inputs, a clear determination of what actions are permitted, and an operational context in which those actions can be executed.
De1, Verona, Atbash, and Pulsar thus read less like unrelated partnerships and more like components within a shared pipeline. This emerging alignment is what I am tracking.
