I was looking at LINK after its recent move toward $13.70 and one thing felt strange.

Price pulled back.

But some of the bigger buyers did not.

Grayscale added another 203810 LINK worth around $2.38M. Over roughly 18 days its ETF received about 1.05M LINK worth more than $12M.

Bitwise added another 163664 LINK worth around $1.91M. Its total holdings reached about 3.96M LINK with an average acquisition price near $9.96.

Then there is Chainlink's own strategic reserve.

Another 91100 LINK was added bringing the reserve to around 5.86M LINK worth roughly $67M. The reserve alone accumulated about 511000 LINK during the last 30 days.

That is a decent amount of supply being absorbed while LINK is correcting.

But here is where I would be careful.

Institutional buying does not automatically mean price goes up immediately.

LINK has already lost the ascending trendline that supported the previous move. RSI also cooled from overbought territory and dropped toward 52.6. Its signal average remains higher around 62 which tells me momentum has weakened.

So the interesting battle is not $13.70 right now.

It is $11.

LINK is currently holding around $11.50 and that $11 area has become the level I would watch most closely.

If buyers defend it then $13.12 becomes the first recovery target. After that $13.70 comes back into focus.

But if $11 breaks then the institutional accumulation story becomes less useful for short term traders because price structure would be weakening despite those purchases.

Whale activity also remains tilted toward larger players with the Whale versus Retail Delta around 0.36.

That tells me bigger participants are active.

It does not tell me they can stop a breakdown.

For now I would rather watch what happens around $11 than chase the accumulation narrative.

If LINK holds $11 while large buyers continue absorbing supply then this pullback could simply be a reset.

If $11 fails then I would want to see where that demand actually steps in.

The buyers are showing up.

Now LINK needs to prove they are strong enough to defend the chart.
