I was watching CHZ after it spent weeks struggling around the same lower levels.

Then something changed.

CHZ held $0.013 and pushed through $0.014 before finally reclaiming $0.015. The move took price to around $0.0154 and the token was up roughly 11.7% on the day.

Volume also jumped 89% to around $153M.

On the chart the move looks convincing. CHZ moved above both the 20 day and 50 day moving averages while RSI climbed to 63.

But the part I find more interesting is what is happening underneath the price.

Chiliz is trying to expand the role of Socios through tokenised equity offerings. The idea is different from the traditional fan token model because users could potentially get access to minority ownership in sports teams through regulated onchain offerings.

That creates a much bigger question for CHZ.

Can the token become part of a wider sports ownership economy rather than remaining mainly connected to fan engagement?

The answer is still unclear.

There is also more speculative activity coming into the market. Open Interest increased 21% to around $25.4M while derivatives volume jumped 62%.

The Long Short Ratio moved above 1.1 and top trader positioning was even more tilted toward longs.

That supports the rally but it also makes me more careful.

The biggest warning came from spot netflow.

As CHZ moved above $0.015 spot netflow climbed to around $3.36M. More tokens moving onto exchanges can mean traders are preparing to take profits.

So I would not chase the candle here.

For me $0.015 is now the level that matters.

If buyers defend it then the next obvious test is around $0.018 near the 100 day EMA.

But if selling pressure pushes CHZ back below $0.015 then $0.013 becomes important again.

The equity token story is interesting because it could give Chiliz a completely different use case.

But price still has to prove that the breakout is supported by real demand rather than leverage and profit taking.

$0.015 is where I would watch that proof.
