Bitcoin just formed a golden cross, but I wouldn’t treat it as an automatic bullish signal.
Historically, $BTC has often made a big part of its move before the 50-day MA crosses above the 200-day MA.
We’ve seen similar setups in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025: strong rallies before the crossover, followed by a pullback after it appeared.
The latest move looks similar. Bitcoin rallied from around $62K to $82K ahead of the golden cross, then pulled back toward $77K.
That doesn’t make the golden cross useless. It simply shows that it’s a lagging indicator.
The interesting question is: does BTC consolidate after the signal, or does this pullback turn into a deeper correction?
